Continue Breaking Free

I've been going against what I've been taught in school for the last few posts. I'm trying to find my own way of painting while studying various painters that inspire me. I finally figured out how Andrew Jones uses Corel Painter and I've been experimenting with it. No it's not perfect but I'm getting there. Where ever there is.

Breaking Free

'Weathered Business Man'

'I don't need you.'

'Flowers out of Chaos'

I'm in the process of finding 'Freddie the Artist' once again and he's in here somewhere and these pieces are my way to find him.

“We artists are indestructible; even in a prison, or in a concentration camp, I would be almighty in my own world of art, even if I had to paint my pictures with my wet tongue on the dusty floor of my cell.”

Huge Update of All the Things

I won't lie.

It's been really hard. Half a year has gone by and I have sincerely laughed and I have really cried. There just seems to be 1 constant in my life and that is wanting to create. I'm trying to improve as fast as I can in the short amount of time I have left in school. I'm still not there yet but I am in the process of regaining that love I had for art when I first started school. That wide-eyed wonder I had when drawing in my sketchbook the first time is what I'm after once again but this time it will be with a clearer vision. I'm older now and I know that I've matured as an artist and as a person since I first started drawing again back in 2008. I'm on the cusp of greatness, I can feel it and I'm running towards it.

"Once you decide on your occupation... you must immerse yourself in your work. You have to   fall in love with your work. Never complain about your job. You must dedicate your life to mastering your skill. That's the secret of success... and is the key to being regarded honorably."

Cool Down Sketch

After a long day of painting and drawing, I sat down at my computer and painted straight on canvas from my mind for 20 minutes. This was lying hidden in there somewhere.

Paint and sketch like it's a habit.

Bad Idea Poster

Can you run with a bad idea and make it good?

The Breakfast Club as an old animation film starring, Simba, Mrs. Puff, Tarzan, Misty, and Zim.

I'd watch it.
